Castlefield - This fantastic 'urban heritage park' is a place of great history dating back to the very beginning of the city. Through a regeneration scheme it is now one of Manchester's best attractions complete with a museum, Roman ruins, a cobbled canal side and some delightful cafes.
The Lowry - This modern development is found on Salford Docks. There is some excellent contemporary architecture here, and a myriad of bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries and theatres.
Albert Square - Situated at the very heart of Manchester, Albert Square is one of the cities most loved areas. Albert square features some incredible architecture, particularly the gothic town hall.
Chinatown - Manchester is home to the largest Chinatown in the UK. All the colour and flavour of Chinese tradition can be experienced in this spellbinding area of the city. Exciting parades take place in this part of the city to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Canal Street - Situated in the renowned 'Gay Village' in the west of Manchester, Canal Steet is a vibrant and thriving nightlife area. The bars and clubs here are amongst the best in the city.
